Reflections on Easter

We had a wonderful time this weekend spending time with family. The kids were able to see all their aunts and uncles. It was a pretty traditional Easter complete with receiving easter baskets, having an easter egg hunt, a Sunday morning church service followed by a big feast, and, of course, the telling of the story of the first blessed Easter!! I'll post a few pics of the weekend's joys and activities:

After church services...

Elyse, Aidan and cousin Ethan conquering their self-made "mountain"

Aidan, Aislinn, Elyse and Connor...it's impossible to get little ones to "pose"!!

Showing off their finds...

And on a spiritual note...
All weekend, I kept being reminded in my spirit about God's love for us and how the Easter season commemorates that love demonstrated through the resurrection of our Savior. The lyrics from one of my favorite songs by Hillsong United reflect my sentiments:

The enemy has been defeated
And death couldn't hold You down
We're gonna lift our voice in victory
We're gonna make Your praises loud

Shout unto God with a voice of triumph
Shout unto God with a voice of praise
Shout unto God with a voice of triumph
We lift Your name up
We lift Your name up

May God greatly bless you this Easter season!!

"...God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time." 1 Tim 2:4-6
